The book has a few mistakes. The book does not explain why students should even learn the phonemic alphabet. Most of the games in the book are too difficult for absolute beginners. I teach absolute beginners in Chinatown and have experience with teaching pronunciation to this level of English as a Second Language learners/5(15).

I teach ESL and also accent reduction on-line. I would highly recommend this book to teachers working with English learners. The authors have included topics ranging from individual sounds, word stress, connected speech, teaching tips, and specific language group challenges.
